My Station:

Power: Powerwerx 30A Switching power supply

Rig: Yaesu FT-450 (non-D version)

Tuner: LDG AT-100Pro II Autotuner

Interface: USB Signalink

Meter: MFJ-849 Digital SWR/Watt Meter

Antenna: 30m centerfed dipole made out of 15KV 10ga wire.  It works decent on 40m and 20m with the tuner.  Antenna radiates North/South.

Me:

I was first licensed in the mid eighties after watching my father and brother get their ticket.  My original callsign was KA5ZJT, a year later I upgraded to no-code technician (which consisted of the general written test without the code at the time) and received the callsign N5KQW.  I have been thinking about getting a vanity callsign but I have grown used to my tech callsign after 30 years and just may keep it.  I upgraded to Extra class in the fall of 2016.

I do mostly digital on HF and some SSB.  I live in a VERY noisey area for HF, which is why I work mostly digital, so if you try to come back to me on digital and I dont respond try turning up the power or point the beam my way.
