I am a retired Air Force Master Sergeant who served from 1974 – 1994. I was stationed in Texas, North Carolina, Diyarbakir Turkey, Thule Greenland, and Soesterberg The Netherlands. My specialty was Security Police (Law Enforcement). I served primarily as an investigator for both the US and NATO. My favorite assignment was Thule Greenland, where I spent 18 months and met my wife (a Danish nurse).

I am an "OLD" CBer, call sign (back when they were required) was KTG-2551, my handle was "The Key" (for obvious reasons). It was a hobby I enjoyed with my Dad (KQD-6246) for many years. I gave up the CBs when the licensing requirements went away and the whole hobby went to crap. Always thought about moving to HAM, just took about 30 years to actually do it!

Started with a Technician certification in August 2010 as KF5IJH.
Upgraded to General in March 2011.
Changed call sign to N5LOC (It's a lot easier to say phonetically).
