Hello,                                                      Please Enter your Call,  If you you participate in the WEB option I'll return the favor.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my info. I'm located in the southwest part of Indiana and I've been a licensed HAM since 2003 when I became a Tech, I now hold a General class ticket and I see an Extra class ticket in the near future of 2018.

You are welome to join us on the FaceBook Forum "Amateur Radio HF U-Vhf Forum" Just do a search and ask to join. We welcome all countries and Amateurs to join the disscussions, or maybe you have something to Buy or Sell. We welcome that also.

Some of the other areas I enjoy:

  • SDR (Software Defined Radio).
  • DXing,
  • Rag-Chewing with friends,"My Favorite"
  • Digital modes: FT-8, RTTY, PSK31, JT-65/9,
  • Not Yet but interested > Packet, SSTV.
  • Design and Construction of my own Antennas,
  • Mobile Operating when time allows.

Theres always some type of signal to chase on the bands if you're persistant.

My father was an operator as well till he lost all his equipment when a fire in 1966 swept through his shack. He never went back into the craft after that but went onto electronics repair as did a lot of old HAMS did in those days. I got my interest in Amateur Radio from him mostly, But a few friends have also played a big part in that as well. I really enjoy learning the different modes of the didgital side of Amateur Radio and building homebrew antennas and other RX projects. Hope to have a QSO with you if we haven't already.

My wife and I hanging out in the garage where all the fun happens, "Well not all the fun"

We both enjoy many of the same interests. Boating, Cruising the Vette, Grandkids, Friends, and Family...... she keeps me in line and feeling young.

My humble setup in the shack is a IC-7610, IC-7300 and a few other 2 meter mobile rigs as well.

Antenna is a Homebrew 20 meter dipole simular to the diagram. and a 40 meter horizontal wire. My MFJ-993B  can tune to most all the bands for now till I can get my 5 band Hex Beam up in the spring . I want to start that build sooner but Indiana weather does not play well with HAM radio somtimes so I'll update the site when that is completed. Ive been looking at many different plans, But the NA4RR has some really good reviews also. Check the website for more details.
