Hi and Thanks for stopping by

A little about me. I was first licensed in 1979 as novice, and over the years  I the climbed the ladder to achieve Extra in 1998.

I have held only two other calls over the years

KA9EHP 1979-1983

KC9NY   1983-1998

I obtained the vanity call of W9WGN in 1998

My current station consists of a Yaesu FTDx1200, and an Icom 7100. My antennas consist of a Mosley TA33 M WARC at 40ft, a Comet 250B vertical mounted about 10ft off the ground, and a Ameritron 811 amplifier. I also run H.F. mobile that consist of a Yaesu 857 and a Tarheel antena mounted on my 2012 Chevy Colorado.

I enjoy rag chewing and chasing DX, and some special event stations mostly on SSB, but I'm trying to get back on PSK31 and looking into trying JT65. I also enjoying using DStar and can be found on Reflector 30C.

I also enjoy collecting paper QSL's. So my perferred methods of qsling is either LoTw or direct. No SASE is required for direct qsl's. My motto has always been if you send me one I'll send you one.

I obtained the following awards over the years.

DXCC (curently at 191 confirmed)

WAS #38,687

WAC

If you hear me on the air give me a call
