Hello Ham friends. I started in radio in the mid 1970s. I am a retired Florida firefighter, IAFF 2794, and did constant radio communications over my 27 years with the FD. I enjoy many aspects of HAM radio including rag chew, DX, and contesting. 7.195 is my home in the evenings stop by and say hello. So 73 to all and I look foward to making lots of contacts and friends.

Antenna analyzer hard wired to a switch so I can check all antennas preformance without using the radio.

Florida being the lightning capital of the world requires special consideration.
Nothing is going to stop a direct hit from frying everything connected ,but, I try my best to keep it outside the shack. All coax leads go to a remote switch located outside the shack, The lead in coax, rotor control cable, equipment ground, and remote switch control cable are all surge protected and have disconnects outside the shack. All three towers, the service box under the tower, the remote switch, the equipment ground and the service ground are all bonded together. Static dissipator located 6' above Mosley Beam. If the equipment is not in use it is unpluged including the ethernet cable. I do not reccomend using a active well casing as part of the ground system.

Here is what I started with.
6' X 6 ' X 5' Base. 6" above grade and the bottom 6" is gravel for proper tower leg drainage.
Tower base was to far away for cement truck. Thank God for pumps. Total of 10 cu. yds. concrete.
5.5 cu.yds. concrete in base 21,000 lbs. All site work and rebar to Rohn specs.
Custom guy wire anchors in 4' X 4' X 4' hole with 2' concrete, 1.5 cu. yds. 5,700 lbs., in bottom of hole then back filled.
Now we wait 30 days for concrete to cure.
Assembly of Rohn 55G with fresh paint. Rust-Oleum 7000 System - Cold Galvanizing Compound.
Dielectric grease on every joint makes for a good ground. The tower will also come apart easier if neccessary.
18 volt Impact wrench comes in very handy.

110' conduit from shack to tower. Total 210' coax including 18' for choke under antenna. Jeffa Tech LMR 400.

Grounding system staked out.
Water jetting to sink ground rods. The ground rods are 6 - 8' x 3/4" copper pipes.
Trench with ground rods and #4 copper wire. One run attached to each tower leg.

Nice, clean, and accessible.

Tower legs are wrapped in stainless steel to prevent reaction from dissimilar metals. Copper clamp to galvanized tower leg.

Mast 6061 T6 Aluminum 2" OD .375 wall thickness.
Four big boxes arrive from Mosley and unpacked. Some assembly required. Mosley made this assembly easy with great color coding and predrilled holes. Some fine tuning was required. Mosley customer support is very good if needed.

Home brew static dissipator mounted 6' above antenna boom. If store bought this cost approx. $500 if you could find someone to sell you one. We built this one for $150 using aluminum tubing and stainless chimney brushes.
The Pro 67-C-3 project finished at last. Three months from start to finish.
Thank you to everybody that contributed to this project it could not have been done without you. Projects like this give you a greater appreciation for all the knowledge that other HAMS have to offer. And then in turn we hand down to others.
Special thanks to KK4ZDS, Wayne, my friend and right hand man. Perhaps I was his right hand man, hihi. The countless hours and late nights we spent working on this project together was a great experiance, very educational, lots of hard work, and we had lots of fun along the way.
