Important info for QRZ.com & eQSL.cc users:
I have different accounts for each variation of my callsign (YO2MSB, YO2MSB/QRP, DL/YO2MSB/P, etc.). So please log your QSO's with me to the EXACT callsign you heard on frequency during our QSO, because otherwise I won't be able to confirm it. I've already received a lot of requests in error during the last period. Thank you!
YP2XMAS: during all the month of December, 2016 I helped Santa Claus to bring funny Christmas QSO's to everyone in the frequencies. More than 800 QSO's were performed with this callsign. We had many other special callsigns for different YO districts, operated by my colleagues from ARR: YP4XMAS, YP5XMAS, YP7XMAS, YP9XMAS & YP0XMAS. Special electronic awards will be issued for callsigns who worked at least 3 of these callsigns.
LZ SOTA Tour: on 29th of October, 2016 I was QRV from Bulgaria together with Zoli YO2BP, activating two summits on the western part of the country: LZ/WB-061 & LZ/WB-076.
YP300TM: during all October, 2016 I was active with this special callsign to celebrate 300 years from the victory of Count Eugene of Savoya against the Turkish domination of the city of Timisoara. 18th of October, 1716 is considered to be the birth date of the modern city and a lot of celebrating events were organised in Timisoara during the whole month. Special awards are issued for stations worked in at least 3 different bands. Detalis about this special callsign here: http://www.qrz.com/db/YP300TM
YO SOTA Marathon 2016: the 3rd edition of this traditional SOTA mass activation took place this year in the YO/EC region, during the third week of August. We were activating around the cities of Vatra Dornei and Piatra Neamt during five days. The team was made of Csaba YO6PIB, Petrica YO9RIJ, Razvan YO9IRF, Florin YO9IPF and me. The weather was good, but we had some problems due to inaccessibility for some summits and due to the warnings about a significantly population of bears. A big thanks for the whole team of DORNA DX GROUP for their warm welcome and consistent help during the Marathon!
YP0IP ATLANTYKRON Summer Academy: in the first week of August 2016 I was QRV t,ogether with a group of romanian hams, from the Stone Ring Island (Insula Inelul de Piatra) in the middle of the Danube river, near Capidava/Cernavoda, during the Atlantykron Summer Academy 2016. The special callsign YP0IP was issued especially for this event. More details, pictures and a daily diary here: http://www.qrz.com/db/YP0IP
SOTA Tour in OK, HB0 & DM: due to the travel for Friedrichshafen Ham Radio 2016 in the last week of June, I was able to activate two new associations (HB0 & OK) and earn some good points in DM/BW. 68 points in 3 days, a lot of good friends to activate with (Paul HB9DST, Guy NS0TA, Petrica YO9RIJ & Dan YO3GA) and a spectacular activation from HB0/LI-004 Augstenberg, with amazing sightseeings all around the summit.
Paper QSL's completed up to 1st of June, 2016. Will be distributed @ Friedrichshafen Ham Radio 2016.
UT & OM SOTA Tour: on 07/05/2016 I was QRV from UT / 2 summits near the romanian border and from OM / 1 summit near the hungarian border. Only 3 points but 2 new countries activated on my list. A 24 hours continuous trip and around 800km made on national roads. Well, in UT it's somehow strange to say "road" to a large collection of holes disposed linear between different places... DO NOT go there without an off-road car!
First QRPp: made on 15/11/2014 with Ljubo 9A9DX - 100mW from an Alinco DX-SR8E in S-Low mode. 4.000km/W - not bad for the beginning.
3A/YO2MSB: Monte Carlo calling! Between 07 and 11 of September 2014 I was QRV in portable from Monte Carlo. Details here: http://www.qrz.com/db/3A/YO2MSB
FIRST SOTA ACTIVATION EVER IN YU: made by me & YO2BP on 22/08/2014 near Vrsac, very close to the border with YO. Two summits activated: YU/VO-001 Guduricki Vrh & YU/VO-002 Vrsacki Vrh.
