Welcome to my QRZ Page. Responsible for KK4LZG. Responsible for DN5PV

Update 2017: My new preferred mode of operation is FELDHELL

I have been interested in radio for many years, starting 1970 with CB radio before graduating to the amateur
with the call DO1KG in August 2010. Mai 2012 I am upgrading to the german A-Licence and my call is now DL1PV.
I am a
member of the DARC and my chapter is K12, 66482 Zweibruecken JN39QF. I am a member of the ARRL and my Extra Class US Callsign is KK4LZG.

The main shortwave equipment used here at the moment is a ICOM IC-7700
. NO PA at the moment. The sound for the IC-7700 is from a W2IHY 8 band equalizer and a wonderfull HEIL PR-781. The main Antennas are Log.-Periodic Beam XP-407 (Sommerbeam, VK2UJ) for 2-4-10-12-15-17-20-30-40m .The 6m Antenna is a 4-Element 28 Ohm build DK7ZB. The 6m antenna is attached below the boom of the XP407. The other antenna is a 42m wire Dipol (ZS6BKW) with automatic Tuner AT-512 for 10-160m beaming Nord/South.

For 60m I usa a monoband Dipol 26,9m long, beaming N/S. Max PWR 15W EIRP

For mobile/portable on 2m + 70cm + D-Star i use a Kenwood TH-D74. For DMR I use a Retevis RT3 and at home i use a DV4mini for all digital modes. CCS7 ID  (262) 5099.

My mobile and QRP TRX is a FT-991. The QRP-Antenna is 42m long invert.-A view in my shack at April 2016ipol on a 12m Fiber-Tower.
At home I use the FT-991 for 2m, 70cm and C4FM QSO - and a 750W PA for 2m SSB

My vintage TRX is a 40 year Drake TR-4C

My SDR-Receiver is a SDRplay1

My QTH is 66482 Zweibruecken JN39QF. Zweibruecken is in the south-western part of germany near the french border, 30km south-east of the RAMSTEIN US-AIRBASE or 120km south-west of Frankfurt.
