Thanks for taking the time to drop in to my information page. A background about GI0AZB the start of a long and addictive hobby!
I have been on the amateur bands since 1982, my first QSO was on the 14th June 1982, so its 35 years and counting since I have been qualified.
I'm now living outside Dungiven and have just reset the station after a gap of some 20+ years.
We are living on a small farm and use the land for our hobby of equesterian pursuits. The family are all licensed amateurs, Esther (GI0AZA), Joseph (2I0JIE) and Jenyth (MI6JHE).
I enjoy the radio amateur hobby, as well as the out door activities, horses, clay shooting and photography.
Having just set the station up again after a long break, I am finding new modes for communication, as well as developing new friends locally and on the air.
I am still working and looking forward to slowing down in a few years and spending more time with the family and my hobbies.
I am the repeater keeper for GB7DN, the Dstar Icom repeater located at our QTH outside Dungiven. If you travel through the area please feel free to access it and the full details are on the link attached to its name.
Finally I'm also a member of the British Amateur Radio Lighthouse Society my membership number being 620.
All the best and thanks for reading as well as best wishes from Northern Ireland.

QSL Card shows Dungiven Castle, many years ago this Castle was home to members of the family related to GI0AZA (Esther).
Of course some of the portable TRig point activations need the help of our two K9s, Roxy and Poppy, or the terrible twos :)
I also enjoy some mobile and portable HF work on the bands, pictured is the Landrover with my AH2B attached, a great performer.
Competing for Ireland in the ABT Championships, a long time ago!
