Thank you for your visit to my QRZ.com page.

My name is Yu-Ichiro "Tack" Takagawa.   QTH is a central part of Tokyo.

I have been operating ham radio station since 1974. Before starting ham radio station, I enjoyed BCL/SWL more than 15 years with TRIO's 9R59D and a homebrew wire antenna.

In early days of my ham radio life, I worked on all HF bands with homebrew Yagi-Uda antennas.  The 5 elements Yagi-Uda for 21MHz and the 4 elements Yagi-Uda for 14/28MHz multiple-band Yagi-Uda were put on the top of 22 meter high uni-pole towers like SkyNeedle.  I had two self-supported towers with heavy-duty motors to rotate beam antennas.  Between two towers, I had a one element quad antenna for 3.5/7MHz operations.

However, it was coming difficult to keep big antennas in a highly populated city like Tokyo.  Then, I QSYed to digital communications over D-STAR, Echolink and Zello.

My XYL and kids are all ham operators.

I completed my Ph.D. work on digital radio communcations and NFC technologies.  Then, I got a Government Certified Professional Chief Engineer License of ICT technologies.

I worked for Nordic mobile network operator as COO.  Then, I have been working for the world largest mobile equipments company as Principal Advisor for the board.

Please feel free to ask eyeball QSO with me if you came to Tokyo, anytime.

Best regards and 73 from Tokyo.
