Passed the foundation Exam on 17/10/14

My greatest respect go out to  Chris (M0BQE) & Barry (G4AHK) - and all the rest of the guys  at

Bromsgrove & District Amateur Radio Club .

Club info can be found here http://www.radioclubs.net/bdarc/

Got my Licence on 25/10/14.

Currently my prefered mode of operation is JT65 (with the excellent JTAlert)

When active i upload my logs daily to QRZ , EQSL and HRDLOG

Main Equipment:-

kenwood ts2000 + mc 43s fist mike. or mc60 desk mike.

(experimenting with some no name boom mike and a beringer xenyx802)

Half size G5RV and a 10m Vertical for HF / Sirio Tornado 27 5/8th wave vertical

Some triband white stick for 2m 70cm 6m / X510 clone for 2m , 70cm

Added a 6m 5ele beam (turned manually for now) facing west currently.

Other kit:-

Flexradio - Flex 1500 SDR QRP 5watts . with a LDG Z-11 Pro 11 tuner.

14/04/15 New Icom 7100 added to the collection. (CCS7 ( 235) 2729) used with the LDG Z-11 Pro 11 tuner also.

10th September 2015

I have now added the Yaesu FT-817nd / Z817 Autotuner from LDG to the collection of equipment.

19th April 2016:- The Alexloop antenna arrived today  .. Surprised me with what it heard in jt65 mode just resting on bed...

Need to do more testing with this.

26th June 2017

Today i finally moved the 6m beam onto its own pole with a cheap TV rotator so ends the manual turning of the ariel (for now at least).... I think i've had this little rotator for a good 18months plus sat in a box, a good friend G1IVL managed to find me a top bearing and clamps (his sheds are like full of stuff).

Thank you Richard for being the nice guy that you are..
