what you see is the C4FM YaesuFT100d with Wires-X connected unattended gateway radio (MB6FT) on 144.8250mhz with presearch 144.6125 for the Otter valley covering out to the A30, and beyond, down to Exmouth and Honiton to the M5, usually connected to room cq-uk

icom ic r7100 reciever on a vertical listening mainly on the air bands

an Icom ic718 into a Mfj 969 tuner hooked up to a 297ft long wire. i`m using a Dell OptIplex 760 running Hrd with Dm780 i also run Ros, jt65 and sstv also there is a Hi mound 707 key mainly on 21 mhz backup

next

 an Icom ic9100 with a Dell Optiplex 760 running Hrd with hrd logbook which auto-writes to eqsl and hrdlogmy spid big rak is also connected to hrd rotator and works very well. for data modes is usu the dm780 program within hrd using usb codec so no need to have an external tnc. antennas as follows a modified G5rv though a palstar at1km, radioworks 160 carolina windom folded dipole though a vectronics vc3000dlp, 3 element ultrabeam and an 8el for 2m, Sm20 desk mike and a Vibroplex Rsgb centenary key.(245 out of 250) completes the main setup

the old faithful Colt Excalibur wired to a vertical and a desk mike mainly used to monitor 10m

then the vhf/uhf section firstly a Phillips fm1200 in a base station setting, above is the Kennwood tm v71e uhf/vh

 I have several handie`s, Wouxon and a Baofeng for 2/70 anolgue Yaesu ft2d for c4fm and an Icom id51 for Dstar and a hytera pd365 for dmr

i also use a Mfj 434b voice keyer for contesting , the best thing to save your voice ,lol.

 

i have also 60ft tower and 40ft trailer tower and an array of hf and vhf beams for portable use

i`ve had many people asking about my carolina windom so here is it as per radioworks

the start of an antenna farm

 

G5rv of top of house north/south opposed with the ladder line out 90 % off the wire.

a 108m  long wire east/west 

2m/70cm colinear above the the 2m 9 el yagi 6m  above the house.

hf vertical

and 5/8 wave cb vertical. 4m above the ground with a weather station just below the antenna

and a test 4m vertical there to.

the carolina 160 compact special 17m above the ground above that is a cobwebb and the C4FM colinear for MB6FT on 144.825 mhz

 finaly i have got a new beam , its the 3 el ultrabeam  and its now up at 30ft on a trailer tower, thanks to dan,at the ham radio shop in bristol,(g3vm) , all i can say after  installing it is it is some pile up basher.lol

 

 

 

 

my mobile setups

the left hand tractor,a ford new holland 7840 turbo has a yaesu ftm 400dr/xd  for 2m fm and c4fm  and a cb

the other,a ford new holland 6640sl has a tait 2000 ex pmr with hands free ptt, ptt positoned on the loader joystick, programed for 2m plus a cb

the mobile is a Mitsubushi Outlander,using an icom ic7100 with a diamond colinear for 2/70cm and a hustler with the resonators for 50,28,24,21,18,7 and 3.5 mhz, altho i can usually be found somewhere on the WAB nets also have a micro mag mount listeming via a yaesu ft2d handie to c4fm
