My homemade 1/4 wave vertical for 20M with 3 radials that also act as guys.                                                                         I live in west Wales near to the town of  Cardigan in a steep sided ,wooded valley facing North.

My old 4 element yagi for 11 m ,down for repairs and modification .

Some of my radios , Yaesu FT101ZD , Yaesu FT450D a pair on stalker 9's and a Baofeng handle ..                                                            Some of my radios , Yaesu FT101ZD , Yaesu FT450D ,a pair of Stalker 9's and a Baofeng handie .

Hi ,my first name is Allan but I use my middle name Christian or Chris with family and friends .I"ve had a fascination for radio from an early age ,listening to stations from around the world late into the night ! My first transceiver was an FM40 in the early 80's , then discovered SSB in the mid 90's . I spent some years on 11m with a 4 element yagi and made some super contacts and some lovely friends but with conditions on the 11m band deteriorating I felt it was time to get my licence .My foundation call was MW6ICM , which I obtained in New Year 2016 , and I've recently passed my intermediate in November 2016 .I'm on 20m mostly , mainly down to only having a resonant ariel for that band but I hope to have a dipole up for 40m soon . Also limited to 50watts as I'm an intermediate licence holder . If I haven't just had a QSO with you then I hope to one day , thank you for stopping by and I'll add to this page as I build my station ,

Finally on 40m

My homemade 1/4 wave for 40m , feed point is 3m from the ground and has 3 radials.

Yes that's a old CD as an insulator ! (Won't say who)

It has a good vswr on 15m ,even better on 6m .

Both antennas are made from old bits that I already had , the only expense was the galv g/p guy wire .

Hope to catch you on 6 ,15 ,20 or 40 m sometime, also on 10 m with an old a99  , 73 de 2W0LVE
