2016 - AB5KM (ex KF5WMA)

February - August this year while using MFJ-1788 Mag Loop antenna (in the attic) and ditial modes JT9, JT65, and PSK31 I was able to achieve the WAS award.  Very good results considering the antenna size and location.

As of August I am using the EFHW-8010P End Fed antenna as my primary antenna.  Working voice and digital on this antenna and it seems to get out well.  Joined OMISS.NET (member # 10795) and working SSB contacts.

2015 - KF5WMA

Extra Class license.
Spent more time learning digital PSK and JT65 modes.  This year at the field day with our club I had great success with the MFJ-1788 magnetic loop antenna.  After field day, I put this antenna back up in my shack and played around with it more.
Works great!  Mid November - Mag loop is now in the attic which puts it about 25 feet above ground.

2014 - KF5WMA

General Class license.
Icom IC-7100 HF/VHF/UHF Transceiver, LDF IT-100 Autotuner,Alpha Delta DX-EE dipole antenna, and MFJ-1788 mag loop antenna.
Played arround with mag loop, but found it difficult for voice unless you plan on staying at a fixed frequency.  Put the mag loop aside for now and plan on using it at the 2015 field day event (see picture above).
Rest of the year I played on HF starting making voice contact around the globe and then began with PSK31 on using DM-780 software part of the Ham Radio Deluxe suite.

2013 - KF5WMA

Technician Class license.
Icom ID-51A radio to do UHV/VHF FM and D-STAR DV operation at home and mobile. Joined a great local ham radio club - Texas Emergency Amateur Communicators (www.TEAC.net) ham radio club which is an ARRL Affiliated Amateur ham Radio Club serving the Northeast area of Harris County including Kingwood, Humble, New Caney, Porter, Huffman, Lake Houston and surrounding areas of Northeast Houston Texas.

In order to gain additional long distance experience I installed the DVAP D-STAR DV Access Point Dongle on a spare PC.  Also tried a little EchoLink to expand distance of contacts.
