AC4G Bibliography:

  • First licensed in 1978 while in High School w/ Novice class license after passing the 5 WPM code test and written test (Thanks KI4G for support).
  • Operated Tennessee Technological University Club Station 1979-1983 (Received BSEE Electrical Engineering)
  • Received Extra class license in 1986 after passing the 20 WPM code test and written test.
  • Enjoyed making casual QSOs to hams around the world which propelled me into chasing DX.
  • Eventually received DXCC Honor Roll w/ 328 countries with the callsign N4GAK.
  • Changed callsign from N4GAK to AC4G in 1996 under the newly-then-established vanity callsign system.

My primary ham radio interest:

  • DXing on all HF bands operating mainly CW mode (my favorite operating mode)
  • Operating 40m, 80m and 160m (Top Band).

From my QTH in Tennessee, SW Asia, SE Asis, and Indian Ocean territory is a very difficult path

  • VK9CZ (Cocos Keeling - Indian Ocean) via Longpath (LP) during their 2013 April 2013 DXpedition 80 meter CW.  Also, VK9CZ QSO via 80m in Fall of 2017 80m CW w/ 599 plus sigs via Longpath,
  • 9V1YC (Singapore) & 9M2TO (East Malysia) on 30m/40m CW via LP.
  • HS0ZKX (Thailand) via LP Mid-January 2014 on 80m CW and HS0ZLM via LP 40m CW December 2016.
  • VU7AG (Laccadive Islands) 80m QSO via LP.
  • VU2GSM and VU2DIC via 40m LP (early-2016)
  • FT5ZM (Amsterdam Islands [near my antipode; 11,155 miles] - January 2014) 80m CW QSO and 160m QSO.
  • XW4ZW 80m CW LP January 2015
  • 9K2HN (Winter 2014) - 160m
  • VK9X Christmas Island DXpedition Fall-2014
  • VK0EK Heard Island (80m -RCV antenna Northeast not Southeast)
  • 9M2AX via LP 80m CW (December 2016) after trying for a few seasons
  • Indian Ocean Territory: 3B9HA (160m), FR4NT(160m), 3B8CF (40m)
