My base station elevation is 215m above sea level

Active on HF, 6m, 4m, 2m, 70cm mobile and base station

I've been licenced since 1983 had a break while the family were growing but now back better than ever.

I have WSPR running, band varies and includes 2m and 70cm,

Also, having fun and some great contacts with FT8. Please remember when running FT8 the most important thing is a CLEAN signal, if the signal is distorted it probably won't be decoded, no matter how strong it is. A TCXO is definately an advantage as is ensuring that your computer clock  is accurate. I have found by experience that, having a very low SWR helps prevent modern radios (or amplifiers) from protecting the output by limiting the power, thereby creating distortion in the transmitted signal.

I'm keen on 6m, UKSMG member #2994

eQSL and LoTW only please.

I am uploading logs to LoTW as soon as I can after QSO

Thanks for your interest.

The flag is the Black Country Flag.

It dipicts our industrial heritage. The chains that were made here (including the Titanic's chain and anchors), the central image is a bottle kiln from the glass industry. It is said that our area was 'Black by day and red by night' due to the industry, hence the other colours and the name of our region.
