My name is Daphne and welcome to my QRZ web page.

I first got interested in radio when I was quite young and used to listen to a crystal set under the bed clothes when I should have been going to sleep. I got my amateur radio licence in 1989 after training for my RAE at my local radio club.

My interest in radio got me involved in the St John Ambulance Brigade as a radio communication trainer which ultimately led to me changing my career to nursing, still not sure if that was wise smiley .

Problems with my health have caused me to take early retirement which leaves me lots of time for radio but limited funds. I enjoy QRP and home brewing (radios not beer). I can usually be found on 40m for a chat or data modes on the higher bands.

My other hobbies included computing, photography and walking.

For more information please check out my website: http://www.g7ena.co.uk/index.html

My Station consists of: Yaesu FT 2000D, Icom IC746 mainly for digi-modes and 2 metres SSB and a variety of other transmitters acquired over the years.
Occasionally I will dust off the FT102 when I am feeling nostalgic.

Aerials here are a Western HF 10 and a Cobwebb at about 10 metres.
