Please take a look at: www.qsl.net/k3rll/

I've been working to re-learn HTML and have created an attempt at a web page. Hopefully, anything of interest is there: www.qsl.net/k3rll/ including information on QRP, a selection of Altoids tin and other built projects, portable operating, and operating within the restrictions of a Homeowner Association. This website is updated with some regularity.  Please feel free to "give it a click".

Thanks for looking me up.  We've either worked from Pennsylvania (summer months) or Florida (winter months) - hence the 4-way photo above showing stations and environment in both PA and FL.

My main ham radio interests include QRP and/or portable operating either solo or with various groups of like minded low power enthusiasts.

I highly recommend investigating one or more of the excellent QRP groups online. If you like CW, lower power and simple wire antennas, the North America QRP CW Club, NAQCC is a great place to start. It's a club for those of us who still like the basics of ham radio: http://naqcc.info

Please also consider The Flying Pigs QRP Club, International at www.fpqrp.org which sponsors, among other things, their great monthly "Run For The Bacon" QRP Sprint on the third Sunday night of every month at 9 PM Eastern time.

Another fun group is The Adventure Radio Society which sponsors the annual "Flight Of The Bumblebees" every summer as well as their monthly Spartan Sprint from 0200z - 0400z on the first Monday of every month. The interesting twist to this light-hearted event is the scoring by station weight. Two categories "Skinny" and "Tubby" separate the more standard desktop home stations from the challenge of making the most contacts with the least amount of radio.  Take a look at their web presence at http://arsqrp.blogspot.com/2009/02/so-whats-spartan-sprint-and-how-do-i.html

Other interests include my 1967 MGB (purchased new in 1967), a very low mileage C-6 Corvette, a matching burgundy Mustang and a couple of motorcycles, although the 1987 Corvette, the 2011 Mustang and, after 36 years, my beloved old 1979 BMW have all moved on to new owners. ("Boys and their toys"?)

HALL OF FAME (gone, but not forgotten):

Thanks for not only stopping by, but for reading along and I hope to hear you on the bands. You'll most likely find me on the QRP CW frequencies.
