Originally from Redditch UK and moved to Oklahoma in 2002. I have always had a keen interest in radio and decided in May of 2010 to obtain my Technician license. On the 5th of November 2011 I became licensed in General class, I passed my Extra class on 4th of November 2015.
I also use the radio when I visit the UK and operate under the call M/K5NOV normally operating in the West Midlands area. I am also a member of Dudley and District Amateur Radio Society
I like to use JT65 and JT9 where you will usually hear me on 80m 40m 30m & 20m. I am now just making a start in DMR running a DV4 mini from the house with the TYT MD380 and a CS580 value for money Hand Helds. Every now and then I drop in on the 3916 Free Wheelers net and say hi, this net has been going for a very long time and well worth a visit to check in and say hi to a great bunch of operators.
Next to me in the picture is my Dear Wife Debra KA5DEB Debra was licensed on May 26th 2012, we are both involved with storm spotting and members of Noble County Storm Watch. All our members are trained by the National Weather service in weather radar and we supply support to the Sheriff's office to get much needed information back to our Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and the county dispatch during Tornado season.
