Thanks for looking me up. Figured it was about time to put something here for folks to read. First licensed back in 81 as a 5wpm novice. Upgraded to Tech a year later. Bought a used IC-251A at a flea market. Played on the repeaters for about 3 weeks or so. Back then you didn't need PL or anything else to get into a repeater. Figured I would give the SSB side a look and haven't been back on a repeater until my son , KE8CEP came to visit from Ohio and I worked him on the local machine with my UV5R.

Been playing with 2 mtr SSB and having fun. Just added some new radios, to me anyway, IC-271H and IC-471A.Been using my ancient CC 215WB's in the back yard, not very high up, Top one is at 25 feet and the other one below it at 14 feet or so. I just added a M2 432-9wl in the middle to play on 432. I gave my son my IC-251A so he can start playing weak signal and get hooked like I did. Active with the guy's on 144.205 and on mostly in the evenings also when not to tired from work. 32 foot tower is laying in the backyard and after I wrestle with the town, it should be up in 2016. That and the fact that I am 320 feet ASL helps a lot. Clear shot in all directions except south, 400 foot hill there loaded with commercial towers.

Hf rig is as of now non-existent. That will change by years end. Figured it's about time. Also working on getting code speed back to where I can actually make a contact with it. Extra class study is in the works also.

Been designing printed circuit boards for 40 years now and enjoy it. Also, been a volunteer fireman for 41 years. Currently Ex-Captain and Safety Officer with the Selden FD. Enjoy hunting, fishing and model trains.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to work you soon or again as the case might be.

73, stay safe and enjoy life. too short of a stay here not to.
