Back into radio in January 2009 after a 35 year layoff. My station consists of a Yaesu FT-950 transceiver, Ameritron AL-80B amplifier, Palstar AT2KD tuner and an Alpha-Delta DX-EE 10-40m inverted V fan dipole in the attic of my house at 30 ft (HOA antenna restrictions........). In December, 2010, I added a low profile 40/80m dipole in the back yard that is 8-12ft above the ground.

On 2m, I run a Yaesu FT-2800M into a 7 element M2 beam and a Diamond stacked 5/8 wave omni. I recently added a 200W TE systems amplifier for a little extra punch.

I also have a Yaesu FT450 rig, ALS-600 amplifier and several double bazookas so I can operate HF when on camping trips. I operate portable 5 or 6 times a year, mostly from Arkansas and Texas.

I am a rag chewer who enjoys meeting folks from around our great nation and the world. I enjoy many other hobbies including camping, mountain biking, motorcycles, water and snow skiing and whitewater kayaking.

I QSL direct (no SASE required), via the Bureau and eQSL. I also use LOTW.

The latest addition to the station.  A very special Atlas 210X Limited Edition courtesy of Gene Normand N5BOS who is now a Silent Key.  It is affectionately know as the "Rock Crusher".

Here is the home shack as of January 2016. Added a 200w 2 meter amp and a small yagi to the 2 meter station.

Here is the old station circa 2011.
