Licensed since 1998, I just passed Extra on 11/24/15 and was granted my vanity call a few weeks later. My Ham Radio interests include HF Phone and Digital Modes on any band, as well as FM Simplex and working repeaters. I'm just starting to get interested in IRLP and would like to eventually set up a node at home. My abilities are currently limited to mobile and portable operation at the moment; my apartment manager would not appreciate antennas strung around the complex (but I would do it, if I could get away with it!).
My equipment list currently consists of:
Icom ID-5100 for Mobile Use
Kenwood TK-981, 900MHz mobile
TYT 9000D, 220 Mobile
ADI AR-247, 220 FM mobile (currently not installed)
Icon ID-51A D-Star Handheld
Tytera MD-380 DMR handheld
DV Mega/Raspberry Pi Hotspot
Various receivers for SWL and scanners for the local action.
I work as a CSR and Service Coordinator for a Fueling Equipment Company in Tukwila, WA. Work takes up far too much of my time, as I'm sure it does for everyone.
73 to all of you out there! May your DX be great and the QRM minimal!
