I've been a ham since 1977 when I held the novice callsign KA8CVZ as a high school student in Parma, Ohio. The current callsign was assigned back in the mid 80's when I lived in Long Beach, California. Previous calls also include VE2KRR and VE6KRR when I lived in Canada from 1988 to 1997.

For the past 25 years or so my main interest in amateur radio has been contesting, mainly RTTY with a small bit of CW. While I still love that, I am trying to broaden my horizons by trying new modes and bands. Usually, I can be found on FT8, JT65A and JT9 running low power on the HF bands, usually less than 10W. Two summers ago I installed a 6 meter beam on the top of my tower. Look for me running FT8 near 50.313 MHz when six is open.

I am located in grid square EM17fq on the west side of Wichita, Kansas.

My station consists of the following equipment:

Radio #1: Icom IC-7300 w/AS-419  "BandPasser II" band pass filter

Radio #2: Icom IC-7300

Radio #3: FlexRadio Systems Flex-5000A

Antenna #1: Force 12 C31-XR @ 56 ft (20-15-10)

Antenna #2: Force 12 Delta-II 140 rotatable dipole @ 60 ft (40M)

Antenna #3: 160/80M inverted V w/apex at 56 ft.

Antenna #4: 6 meter halo @ 20 ft.

Antenna #5: M2 6M5X 6 Meter Beam @ 65 ft.

Antenna #6: W6LVP magnetic loop for receive

Amplifier: Heathkit SB-220

I often run two radios at a time using the Array Solutions WX0B Six Pack antenna switch, homemade coaxial filter stubs and dual instances of WSJT-X and JT-Alert.

My QSL is good via direct or LOTW (preferred) which I almost always upload to after an operating session.

73, Hope to see you on the waterfall.
