My radio interest began in 1976, when I was 12 years old. My family was preparing to take a trip from Florida to Northern California to visit my older brother.Another brother, who was not going, suggested I take his Royce CB along. I installed it in the roof of the pickup topper, where my younger brother and I would be riding, and talked the whole way! Once there, we made several trips with friends who had radios and enjoyed talking between vehicles.Later in life, I had a couple friends who were hams, but I didn't take the plunge until 2007. I passed my General exam on Jan.30,2014.

I am married to the most wonderful woman a man could hope for, and have 6 children and 3 grandchildren who we enjoy spending as much time with as possible.I enjoy work and fellowship with our church family and youth group. I am a recreational fisherman, hunter, and enjoy competetive shooting sports.

My station consists of a Yaesu FT2800, Yaesu FT450AT, 48' crankup composite mast, Homebrew rotatable dipole for 10m, G5RV for HF, and an Arrow Jpole for v/uhf.
