Thanks for visiting my QRZ page.
I was first licensed in 1985 while stationed in Guam with the US Navy. *Thanks to my cousin N4ESP for his inspiration (He must have forseen my interest in Ham Radio, lol)
Rig here is a Yaesu FT-DX3000 running 100 watts max. Antenna is G5RV Junior for 40-15 meters and Solarcon A-99 for 10 meters. Both antennae are 10 meters off the ground.
I operate mostly SSB on 40-10 meters and I operate JT65 on 20 and 40 meters.
I use QRZ logbook as well as LOTW (I upload to LOTW daily). Below is a photo of my current station.
A little about myself:
I am a retired Communications Engineer/Technician and was a Kenwood Tech for 22 years.
I was an Aviation Electronics Technician in the US Navy, specialized in Cryptographic Technology and Electronic Countermeasures. I operated an Army Mars Station at NAS Agana Guam from 1985-87 (ABM3BC)
My QTH is beside of Beautiful Lake Cumberland in South Central Kentucky. The photo below with my QSL information was taken at "Cumberland Point Recreation Area" next to our house.
I am married to a beautiful Filipina and we have 2 beautiful children together. I have traveled and lived all over the world but there's no place like home. My wife and I are the Kentucky State Leaders for Newfoundland Sanctuary Church so feel free to contact me if you would like more information.
If you send me a QSL card I will reply with a QSL card as soon as I can. I am on a fixed income now that I am retired but I never ask for return postage or SASE.
Thanks for visiting my page. 73's and God bless. If you do not already know the Lord, I hope one day you will.
