G'day, and thanks for dropping by!

If you've spoken to me on air, you've already noticed that I'm a transplant from Australia. I don't think the accent comes through on CW though.

I enjoy working HF, particularly 40m. Also enjoy building and restoring equipment, trying not to let the smoke out of any components - a component stops working if you let the smoke out - an old EE joke ;-) Have never mastered the ability of being able to put all the smoke back in.

My old Australian call was VK4ALE, so you may have already worked me over the last 30 or more years on HF, ATV, and VHF/UHF.

I also enjoy all things aviation-wise, so if you want to start me on a monologue(!!), just mention the Bonanza, C182 or C210. I try to ride my Kawasaki Meanstreak as often as I can as well.

Building a 2M LNA - those smd's really slow a person down!

Jet waiting for me to finish an alignment on a TS-130S.
