Thank you for visiting my QRZ page !

My station elevation is at 796 feet (242.6 meters) above sea level at a high point relative to the surrounding terrain and is located in York County Pennsylvania.

HF Equipment: Ten Tec Omni VI with a W2ENY electret condenser desk mic or a Turner  SSB+2  mic (Old Blue), I use a Heathkit SA-2060 tuner and a Ameritron AL-1500 when needed.

I am currently using homemade 3 band fan dipole for 80, 40 and 20 meters which also works well on 17 meters with tuner. This fan dipole is from a design by the Stanford Research Institute and matched with a 1:1 balun. The apex of the dipole is at 35 feet (10.69 meters) above ground suspended from a tower and tied off to surrounding trees.

Also I use an Antron 99 vertical with for 10, 12 and 15 meters with the tuner.

I also enjoy 2-meter and 70 cm fm repeater and simplex operation using a Icom 2000 and Yaesu FT-5100 with several home made antennas which include a 4 element quad, 4 element yagi's and a Sirio SA-270 MN.

I run Digipan and really enjoy PSK31, I hope meet you on the waterfall! Also I occasionally log onto Echo Link on the PC, or EchoMac on the iMac.

I log all contacts on QRZ and also E-QSL and will confirm valid contacts when received.

73.... Martin.

Entry photo example

  • I will listen, and listen, and then listen again before calling.
  • I will only call if I can copy the DX station properly.
  • I will not trust the DX cluster and will be sure of the DX station's call sign before calling.
  • I will not interfere with the DX station nor anyone calling and will never tune up on the DX frequency or in the QSX slot.
  • I will wait for the DX station to end a contact before I call.
  • I will always send my full call sign.
  • I will call and then listen for a reasonable interval. I will not call continuously.
  • I will not transmit when the DX operator calls another call sign, not mine.
  • I will not transmit when the DX operator queries a call sign not like mine.
  • I will not transmit when the DX station requests geographic areas other than mine.
  • When the DX operator calls me, I will not repeat my call sign unless I think he has copied it incorrectly.
  • I will be thankful if and when I do make a contact.
  • I will respect my fellow hams and conduct myself so as to earn their respect.
