In 2015 I got the paper work for DXCC after 25 years.  In 2017 I submit cards for DXCC 20m and my 150 stickers, Mixed and SSB, at Hamvention 2017.  I am over 1/2 way to my 200 sticker since Hamvention now, but it is slow going for ATNOs

DXCC CW: Worked 117, 98 confirmed in LoTW. I am holding cards for TG9, P44, 3D2, JT.  So now I have +100 and just need to have the cards checked at Hamvention.  It is likely that I will get two more LoTW before I have time to get the cards checked if that is the case I will just apply unless I am closer to another DXCC.  That is unlikely as we would need to have some sort of massive Eskip in late April or early May to get 30more on 10 LOL.  Considering my last CW QSO prior to March 2017 was in 1990 and that confirmed only one country USA my first CQ QSO with W6BLP (sk).  Thaks to Skip N2EI for getting me interested in CW again!

I and also working on 5 Band DXCC: 10m 73 confirmed (70 current), 15m 106 confirmed (105 current), 20m 133 confirmed (131 current), 40m 101 confirmed, 80m with 38 confirmed and holding 1 card KG4, .   I expect to get DXCC on 80m before 10m due to the solar cycle.  80m is gong to be aided by two beverages, but these will be at the lake house and only have limited use unless I remote the station there.

I applied for WPX in 2016 via LoTW website.  I did not realized I had worked so many Prefixes until I looke at the link.  So give it a click and see where you are maybe you want to start chacing prefixes too.

WPX Mixed: 650  WPX SSB: 524

WPX: NA Mixed, EU Mixed and chipping away at CW and Data.

Thanks Steve Bolia N8BJQ for being the awards manager for this fun award.

Just applied for Worked All Europe III SSB and mixed.  I qualify for WAE II mixed, but I need to make scans of the cards or I may take them on my next trip to the German Hamfest in Friedrichshafen.

TNX to DF8AA Wolfgang Böhmer for being the DARC WAE awards manager.

WRTC Award:  I noticed that I qualified for this award and I thought what the heck.  Nice to have an award with my call on it along side photos of great historical figures in radio.

Figured what the heck I already had all the QSOs uploaded to the DARC site so why not apply for the  EU-PX award sort of a WPX for EU only stations.

RIGHT: Nice award to collect on your way to WAE.  100 contacts on various band with EU stations. TNX - DL4SVA for being the awards manager for Europa Diplom.  Also love the design I am going to print this one and hang it on the wall

Finaly got around to submitting WAC. I submitted via DARC which allows LoTW, and ClubLog and their own systems confirmed conctacts to be used for WAC. The ARRL only allows paper cards to be used.  Why not use LoTW they say IARU only allows paper cards, but clearly that is not the case.  Anyway I submitted via DARC and it was easy, and oh yeah free.  I am getting close to 5 band WAC.  I need Asia on 15m and Asia and Oceania on 80m.  I have a plan for this using a LPDA pointed to Asia on 80m and a vertical on 80 with a beverage pointed to Oceania.  Also very close to having the WARC bands with QSL cards needed for 30 from JA and EA8.  For 17m I need QSO and QSL with Asia and 12m I need Africa, Asia and Oceania. (so only 1/2 way on 12m maybe when the bands pick backup)

Worked All States:  I am sitting at 49 mixed and holding a card for AR, but I want to do it all LoTW at least for the mixed award.  I have 48 on Phone and 42 Digital and only 17 in CW.  I don't really work a lot of CW state side as I am just not comfortable with long QSOs on CW.  FT8 has made WAS digital a very fast affair.  I have only been working FT8 for a few months.  Of course AK from Atlanta is still a long haul even for FT8.

CQ's Worked All Zones:  I need zones 19, 24 and 26.

IOTA: 77 confirmed and some cards entered into the IOTA website and more cards to enter but not 100 islands yet.

CQ-County Hunter Award:  I have 158 US counties thus far.  I don't try and get paper cards so the only way I will get this award is if somehow obtain the needed 500 counties in the process of getting 5 band Worked All States and the 30m, 17m, 12m and 6m endorcments.  That said I live in the state with the most counties per square mile, Georgia with 159 counties, soo who knows.

OK So you scrolled all the way from the top to the bottom to find out about my IOTA activations:

I activated IOTA NA-138 (North East FL Ameilia Island Ft Clinch FL State Park US islands FL032S ) on April 19, 2017. These contacts are on Clublog so you can match them with out a QSL via IOTA and Clublog.

Also I will make a card to confirm any contacts as there were only 26 contacts it won't be fancy, but it will fit the bill for IOTA.

I will be operating from coastal islands in the SE for IOTA activations.

NA-138*, NA-055**, NA-110** *=activated **=scouted

These operations will be on 40, 20,17,15,10m SSB  depending on conditions.  Frequencies will be 28.460, 24.950, 21.260/360, 18.128, 14.260, and 7.255 +/-.

For QSL of IOTA please send an SASE for US and SAE $1 for Intl stations Buro OK for Intl but will take a long time as I don't send packets to the buro often.

I just decided that a GMRS licnece was worth the $7/year that it costs for 10years.  We will see how much it is used.  Maybe I will put up a repeater who knows.  WRAP672
