I was first licensed in January 1983 as KA5PVS.  I loved working CW as a Novice, so never was inspired too much to upgrade. 2-1/2 years later I decided to go ahead and upgrade to General.  I got my WAS award with the CW endorsement in 1986 about 8 months after getting my General license.  I only needed one more state (Vermont) as a Novice to get the WAS. Oh well....  I got WAS on FT8 in November 2017 using only LOTW.  Now I'm working on DXCC FT8.  Sure wish everyone was on LOTW wink.  I was inactive on HF from 1999 till 2016.  I also like doing a little SSTV once in a while.  I started doing SSTV back in 1995 using Ben Vester (W3BC) GW Basic software which I enjoyed modifying somewhat.  I enjoy running CW on Field Day which I've done for many years. I'm running a Yaesu FTDX 1200 which I think is an incredible radio, a TH6DX tri-band with 30 and 40 inverted vee's.  I have a 440 repeater here in the shack that 3 other hams and I put on the air in 1992. 441.900  173.8 pl. if you're ever in the area.

I am an avid motorcycle rider.  At present I'm riding a 2013 HD Road King.  I am also an apprentice Knifemaker. (fixed blade).
