Greetings from NT9F in the northern woodland plains of Indiana! The neighborhood is nice, but the covenant (that paper you can't disagree with at the closing if you ever want a house) does not seem to allow antennas.  Well hidden antennas do work.

I've gathered radios over the years. Favorites:  an Elecraft k3, and the old Drake TR-7. It was originally mine in 1978 and is a real radio with just a little thermal drift. I updated an L-4B and also built an amp around a 3cx1500d7, vac variables and a Collins broadcast transformer. I should try my hand solid state amps. QRP is okay for camping.

I have five kids. The oldest, Lora is a pediatrician at the Dayton OH Children's hospital and the mom of a potential harmonics named William and Maggie Jo.  Her husband, Matt is an aeronautical engineer for GE.  David (KC9SKJ) and his wife Jessica live in Valporaiso, Indiana. David was an ET in the Coast Guard but he really learned electronics at Field Day when he was a kid.  Jess and David have THREE vibrant harmonics named Julia (6) and Hannah (4 ) and Melanie (3) that love the rado stuff. Stephen is studying architecture at Cornell, learned some code, and needs to learn how to make structurally beautiful antennas for the public eye.  Jacob is at Indiana - Purdue University Fort Wayne and loves "working" others via computer gaming.  Sarah is ready to finish high school, and loves music, travel and languages. All of my kids are precious to me.

Lately I spend a lot of time on business in Linares and Monterrey, N.L., South Africa, and Europe. I still do occasional building, contesting, rag-chewing and dxing, but seem to be short of time! Mowing the lawn, cleaning house and loving the grandkids takes up the time, but that's good.
