Greetings from Southwest Ohio

A little bit about me and Amateur Radio

I was first licensed in 1975, Novice Class, and was issued WN8WKC. A couple of years later, my dad took me down to Cincinnati on a very cold snowy day to sit for the General exam at the FCC field office.  That afternoon I when home with certificate stating I had passed my General Class exam. A few weeks later I received a call I would hold for many years, WB8WKC. While I was in college, I would sit for the Advance Class exam at one of the last exam sessions the FCC would conduct before the VECs took over.

My current Station

My HF station consists of of a Yaesu FT-991, a 2 element SteppIR with a 40/30 element, and a 43ft vertical. The vertical is not work very well at the moment, so I am considering replacing it with another antenna, rebuilding, or just scrapping the vertical. I am also in the process of working on putting up a dipole.

Station Pictures
My tower shortly after it was installed.

In addition to Amateur Radio, I am interested in Photography.
