Always a pleasure to make a QSO in phone - rtty - cw

Thanks for visiting my qrz.com page.

The QTH is Ermelo, a small village about 50 miles east of Amsterdam. We are lucky to live in a rural area, a real blessing for the radiohobby. At this moment the station consist of a Icom IC-7700 and a Elecraft KX3. Working QRP is fun!

The antenna you see on the picture is an Optibeam OB9-5. Great antenna! I put it up in 2013. Before 2013 I only worked with wire-antennas. Now having the Optibeam DX-ing became a whole new world for me. Need to take a new picture: early 2018 the OB9-5 has been replaced by it's bigger brother the OB11-5. The antenna's are mounted on a 3x8m tower made by Bijzen. Above the OB11-5 is an Optibeam 1-3040 rotary dipole. For 80m and 160m I use some simple wire antennas.

I love to hunt DX. A big thank you to all those operators spending their time and money to go to remote places in the world to give others an opportunity to put "a new one" in the log. For me a new one can be a DXCC (not many new ones left for me...) or an IOTA.

From time to time I participate in a contest and even won some. Also love to go to hamfests. Just to browse around a little but mainly to see radiofriends from all over the world. So, if you spot me, please say HI!

QSL is by bureau and I do upload my logs in LoTW and clublog. Sorry, no eQSL.
