I have been involved in Amateur Radio since the mid 60s. First licenced in 1977, because earlier this was not possible due to my country's political unrest after WWII.

I graduated from National Technical University of Athens Greece with an M.Sc. in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering and then received a second M.Sc. from University College London in Microwaves and Modern Optics. I have worked for 40 years as a Professional Engineer  in the Railways, Energy and Telecoms business.

As a radio amateur I have built a number of projects and in the last 10 years many elecrafts. In the last few years I built a number of sdr receivers and transceivers, currently using only sdr equipment (some homemade):  softrock rxtx 6.3 for 80/40m, ensemble rxtx for 30/20/17m in qrp mode and a chinese mchf clone.

Although I have owned Dstar equipment for some years now, I recently started using it almost daily with my IC-92 and DVMega with Bluestack or Raspberry pi. I recently acquired also a Thumbdv and now can work dstar and dmr without radio equipment. Is fun!

My DMR/CCS ID is 2021155.
