                                                         2018 ARRL GRID CHASE

If you hear me calling "CQ Grid Chase", I'm trying for grid exchange contacts.  I'm grid EM63.

Seeing how many different grid squares I contact.  If I can copy you, let's exchange grid squares.

I'm not a contester at all, but this seems like a fun way to make contacts for the LOTW log.

Hello from Alabama.  I just added a web contact log tab above.  Please feel free to leave a message or comment.

Basic Equipment:

My operation is a Yaesu FT-DX1200 running with an Alinco DM-330MV DC supply, and a LDG AT-600 Pro II

autotuner. Yaesu MD-100 desk microphone.  The amplifier is a solid state Elecraft KPA 500.

Antenna is an Ultimax long wire, with a choke line isolator, in an inverted V configuration.

VHF-UHF is a Yaesu FT-7900 with a N9TAX dual band slim-jim ladder line antenna for local 2 meter nets.

ARRL member and a Volunteer Examiner (VE) accredited by ARRL.

My contacts are usually worked on 20 and 40 meters.  On the infrequent 10 meter openings, it's nice to work it.

Ten-Ten International member number is, #77509.  Member of BARC, Birmingham Amateur Radio Club.

My QRZ log uploads to my ARRL- LOTW account.

General Info:

College and graduate school at UA (Roll Tide).  BA and JD degrees.  Great times watching Bear Bryant football.

Happily married guy, working hard and enjoying ham radio.

When time allows I enjoy quick trips to my place in the country.  It's relaxing with wide open spaces and trails

for walking among the pine trees.  Hopefully one day I can go portable there.

It's great making new ham friends that have the same mindset and interest in an incredibly enjoyable hobby and service.

73 from Bama!!
