Many years after first learning of Ham radio from my original Elmer, I took the test.  The ticket was in the mail, and I bought a Yeasu FT1802M monobander and began listening to all the repeater traffic, and some public safety still on VHF.  Passed on to General, and finally to Extra. The learning curve is pretty steep, and I have oh so slowly moved onward to a few of the many modes available.  I enjoy JT65, PSK, VHF/UHF, D-Star, HF and monitoring. I am a listener, not a big contester. Treasurer of Livingston Amateur Radio Klub in Howell, Michigan. ARES, RACES, CERT qualified, active in Skywarn and Em Comm. Love the hobby, and I love the K3, it is a great elegant radio.  I am grateful for all the wonderful folks out there who share their time and talent so freely.

The hobby has reconnected me with old friends from High School, and opened new hobby interests.

K3 on a DXCC fan dipole, and Hustler vertical with a KX3, P3, KPA500, KAT500.  D-star on IC2820, and id880. operate mostly on SSB Phone and do some kit building. Hope to QSO with everyone!!
