I was first licensed in 1971 as WN9IPV and after upgrading I received WB9IPV and help that call until 1996 when I got W9HZ under the vanity program.
I spend most of my radio time on 80 & 40 meter cw chasing DX. Occassionally, I'll work phone on the 40 & 17 meter bands. Over the years, I've tried a little bit of everything ham radio can offer from rag chewing to formal traffic nets and ATV and satellites to digital modes.
I'm an engineer by schooling and a journeyman electrician by trade and work for the local electric utility as an electrician in the nuclear maintenance department.
