The 10 meter beacon WI4L/B is in operation on 28.274 using my favorite homebrew wire vertical (tripole). Photo above is the beacon runnng 24/7 transmitting with a Kenwood TS-520 and MFJ Grandmaster Memory Keyer. From midnight to mid day low power 10 watts and longer delay. Afternoon to midnight 20 watts and shorter delay.

Email beacon reports or QSL any way you wish including snail mail :)

I have been a ham since 1980. WI4L is not a vanity call. It was issued in 1982.

Simple station: 706MKIIG, TS-520S, and Ameritron AL-811. Antennas are a homebrew wire Windom for 6-160, 10 Meter wire vertical, and a G5RV. When portable or camping, I mostly use the G5RV. For two meters an 11 element beam. Sometimes mobile on a Yaesu 7800 or HTX-10

I enjoy working satellites while mobile or with a HT. http://southcars.com/main/ (7.251) is one of my favorites!  http://geratol.net/ (3.668) in the winter on 75 Meters mostly on the weekends will confirm Georgia for you. 40 meters is my favorite band with 10 meters(ten-ten) a close second. The 145.230 Dalton Amateur Radio Club, N4DMX 444.850, and ALL the N4BZJ repeaters used for local communications. Ragchew, AM, FM, CW(SKCC is my favorite), SSB, PSK-31, and SSTV. Echolink is an option even on the iphone. The newest addition is DSTAR...And now PACKET(145.790) using the PK-232MBX(thanks to N4JGW for helping an old ham with new/old equipment).
