My Ham History:
I was originally licensed back in 1992 (KD4SUI) as a Technician Plus (passing the 5wpm code test). I proceeded to get my code speed up to 13wpm and upgraded to General and Advanced class around 1994-1995. When I upgraded to Advanced class, I opted for a new FCC issued 2x2 callsign and got KT4KN. After many years and some time away from amateur radio, I upgraded to Amateur Extra class in October 2015. I then decided to go for an A 2x2 call, and learned AB4MM was available. I applied for the call, and my application was granted March 11, 2016.
My Current Interests:
I believe we as amateur radio operators are living in one of the best times to be a ham with all of the innovation coming out in Digital Voice and data modes. We now have more means to communicate with each other than ever before, especially when integrating the internet with our current radio capabilities! I believe in remember our roots as we look to the future, and believe that digital IS the future of the Amateur Radio hobby!
