1) Tuning

The making is easy, but the perseverance is necessary for an adjustment. An antenna analyzer is necessary. An adjustment puts two stages of resonant frequency together first and next does a SWR adjustment.

I  A main coil is wound it than the purpose frequency.

  (If it's 21MHz, for example it'll be about 19 turn, so it's made with 20 turn.)

II  I think it'll be 18-about 20 MHz when I search an analyzer for a resonance point. The upper side of the coil (the cylinder side).

I see 2-3 cm will be cut down, and how long a frequency rises. I see how long to rewind by its change amount, but you aren't supposed to rush. I'll go a little slowly.

(Please take a ground for an analyzer. If it's an element, a meter doesn't become stable by a body effect. Please don't worry about SWR at the same time.)

III  An interior adjustment can be done to II, but it becomes real from here in an adjustment by the used society. When it's taken out on the table, a resonance point falls. When I cover an antenna with a waterproof case again, it falls again. There is occasionally a case that I cut a coil too much and go from the purpose frequency to the top. An aluminum kitchen tape will be stuck on the cylinder upper part a little at that time. A resonance point falls by increasing the capacity.

  (Even if it's spread inside the bobbin, the aluminum tape is OK.)

IV  It's a SWR adjustment at the end, but this is performed at the top and the bottom of the link coil. I think the best point will be found immediately. If a resonance point slips by moving a link coil, please adjust it by fluctuation of an aluminum tape. It's fixed by a vinyl tape so that a link coil doesn't move.


2) waterproof treatment

When using it experimentally, I don't mind by a nude condition, but waterproof treatment is needed to be established. When the waterproof treatment is made a nude condition, then a resonant frequency changes. When a waterproof case gets wet with rain, a resonant frequency falls. So the band used actually has, and I'd hope that you establish a resonance point. For example I have mixed around the 21.280MHz in case of 21MHz. SWR less than 1.5 fits into about 21.330 MHz from 21.230MHz with this, but when I get wet with rain, 50KHz falls. 260KHz will be to be able to go out from the 250KHz I wish both.
