Hello Everyone,

After relocating to Matthews, NC (17 miles SE of Charlotte) in 2014, I'm slowly getting my station back on the air. I now have four resonant hf antennas in operation: a double bazooka for 160m and 40m and standard dipoles for 80m and 20m. Unfortunately, all antennas are located 200' from the ham shack, near the back of the property hidden in the trees. I plan to add a few more resonant antennas to operate the other hf bands.

Lately, I've been working a lot of JT65, CW and some SSB. After 38 years, I still enjoy chasing DX. Occasionally, I can be found on DMR, DSTAR or a local repeater (my vhf/uhf antenna is also located 200' from ham shack). I'm using the Ameritron RCS-8V to switch to the correct hf antenna and it works extremely well.

By the way, I am a retired educator having worked as a K-12 teacher and administrator, university professor and administrator and state level supervisor. Learned to fly single and multiengine aircraft many years ago and earned the Commercial, Instrument, Multi-engine, Sea Plane and Flight Instructor pilot licenses along the way. Also, worked as a real estate broker for several years after retirement. Currently retired, I enjoy playing the French Horn in a community band and church orchestra and taking various missions trips around the globe.

I hope to work you on one of the bands in the near future.

-Lonnie, K4KZ
