Greatings Shipmates, from BILL BYRD

I'm a retired US Navy Veteran (ABHC-AW) Yellow Shirt on the Flightdeck. I joined the Navy at 17 in 1971, and retired after 20 years at 37 in 1991. I have 4 carriers under my belt> 1st one was the USS Independance (CVA-62), 2nd one was the USS Eisenhower (CVN-69), third was the USS Guadalcanal (LPH-7) and I retired off the USS Nassau (LHA-4) as the "Flight Deck Chief in May 1991. Was also a member of the afloat MARS station off the USS Nassau (LHA-4) NNN0CUX. After retirement I moved back home to Dallas where I was born and loving it. The 4 call is my original call from "4-land" (stationed in Norfolk Va.) that I received back in the early 80's and have kept it from day one! I'm using a Kenwood TS440 with a 3-element Yagi (A3S) atop a 60 foot tower for 10, 15, and 20m operation, and a Kenwood TS430 that is dedicated to an inverted "V" for 40/80 meter, and sloper for 40/80/160 operations, however I tend to stay on 20 meters. (absolutely love it when 10 meters is hopping). I am also a member of the "10X10 International Net", number is> 56912.  I enjoy collecting flags from all countries so thank you if you confirm our contact through Flag Counter. My second hobby is Harleys as I have 2. A 1997 Dyna-Wide Glide show bike and a 2013 Ultra Classic. So 73's and wishing you all good DX!!!!
