Thanks for stopping by. I am really enjoying myself and probably spending way to much time in the ham shack. I am enjoying DX'ing a lot and doing a little ragchewing and a lot of listening. I use two hearing aids so sometimes its hard, I don't always hear as fast as some people talk. So sometimes it takes me a while to hear and understand a call sign before making a contact. The earphones help a lot. I still have a lot of work to do on my shack, but it's coming along slowly and I'm proud of it.
I am now retired from the Oil industry after 34 + years. A heart attack fixed thing that I was unable to return to work now and am looking forward to retirement ... I enjoy my time off with my hobbys of playing radio and motorcycle riding .. only wish I hadn't waited so long to start both. But thanks to my good friend Robert W5RCG with the radios and my brother with the bikes that helped me and encouraged me I'm now on the air and on the road. ... I started studying one time back in the early 70's but got side tracked moving and building a new house...( But I'm now a Ham ) I also was playing with CB's back then. So it only took me 30 + years to get my license and I'm very proud of it !!!... I'm learning that the shack is a never ending project.
.. It would be great if more operators would confirm calls on QRZ's log, it's easy and fast and a good way to help keep up with the log, just a couple of clicks...
