Thanks for looking me up!

I am Chris, M0KPW, and full detail can be found at http://www.m0kpw.com

If you hear me on the bands or we have had a QSO, please spot me on the cluster

QSL CARDS

PLEASE QSL !!!

I take great delight in the old art of paper QSL'ing - my preferred method is via the Buro, but I will QSL direct and via eSQL - so if we have a QSO I do appreciate a QSL card and I will always return! Likewise if you are a SWL and hear a QSO please do QSL and I will return 100%

I have been interested in Amateur Radio since the late 1980's and first joined the RSGB in 1989 as a Short Wave Listener, and became RS92356.  I spent many a night and weekend listening to the HF bands on a Trio R-1000 communications receiver, and to local 2 Meters using an AOR900 scanner.

I was licensed in 2010 and am located in a South Cumbria village called Ireleth (near Barrow in Furness) in the North West of England.

WAB SQUARE SD27 - I am a member of Worked All Britain, book number 20444
LOCATOR IO-84-JE

Mostly active with an FTDX-1200, IC7300, FT101E and FT-817 on the HF bands SSB. Using 20m Dipole, 1/2 G5RV and a 20m Delta Loop.  I also spend time operating 'static mobile' with an FT857D and an assortment of mobile whip antennas.

I very much enjoy 6m during the sporadic E season, using a 6m dipole and either the IC7300 or FTDX1200 from the home QTH.  I have an old IC502 which only outputs 0.5w, but with a cleverly crafted linear the outpuit power is now 30w.  I also operate 6m 'static mobile' with my FT857D and a mobile whip.  I also enjoy 60m, which I work with my FTDX1200 and G5RV antenna.

6m 2 element yagi and dipole

Active on 2 metres with FT-7800 and FT-60 using a 5 element Yagi and Colinear.  Most of my 2 metre activities take place whilst out portable.  I am also active on 4 metres when out portable in the Cumbrian hills.

I am an approved RSGB Tutor for all three license levels.

I am also a member of the Furness Amateur Radio Society.
