Hi,

Welcome on my revised profile. I was ON3SA from february 2016 till september 2017, now I am ON4IE, so we maybe had a QSO before.

As we are often in Bretagne (France) I will be also QRV  with the callsign F/ON4IE, QSL for these contacts will be of course by ON4IE.

My name is Christophe, I am a 48 years old dad from 2 fantastic sons (aged 15 and 17), married with Stephanie for 19 years now. My profession is metal detector dealer.

I am located in De Panne, a medium sized village at the sea front at 2 miles from the French border. I  passed my Basic licence on february the 24th 2016 and my HAREC on august 30th 2017. My other hobby's are Fishing, Scuba diving, metal detecting, karate, collecting old postcards and coins. As you see I am very busy all the time :-)

When we are in Bretagne, we are in Plouharnel, which is a small place in the department of Morbihan at 5kms from Carnac and 15km from Quiberon.

I used to be an SWL in the 1980's. I collected over 1000 QSL cards from broadcast stations these days. Also a lot of HAM radio QSL cards in SSB, RTTY and SSTV. A couple of years ago I have been re-infected by the HAM radio virus, so I decided to pass the exam to get my licence . I wish to thank Ronny (ON4RK) and Jean Pierre (ON4??) to teach us for these tests!!  My working conditions at this moment are Kenwood TS850, antenna's are Mosley TA33-M WARC, Diamond CP6 and G5RV.

For 2m I am using a Kenwood TS790 feeding a Comet of Flexa FX217 antenna.

I am member of UBA, section OST, so you'll probably meet mee now and then in the club on fridayevening or sundaymorning....

As I hated to get no answer if I've send QSL cards as an SWL to a HAM radio station, I will answer ALL correct SWL reports without any exception!!

 My Shack today. Transceiver is a Kenwood TS850, TS790E. You also see a Kenwood R2000, R5000, 2 x Yaesu FRG9600

My Telescopic tower with a 4 element Mosley WARC yagi, for 2m a Flexa FX217 and a Comet omnidirectional antenna

This was my SWL station about 1988, you see some of the equipment that I still own (R2000, FRG9600, antenna Tuner AT230; speaker SP930,...) and my good old Commodore 128 :-)

My antennas about 1988, a Jaybeam TB3 HF yagi, a Flexa FX211 for 2m.... on a 8m tower almost on the top of a dune....   these were good days!

Scuba diving (wreckdiving) at the North Sea. Along the Belgian and Northern French coast, there are 100's of shipwrecks to visit. Most of them are "relics" from 1st and 2nd worldwar.

Calling home :-)

My new QSL card.
