I was first licensed in 1985 and I was very active for the first 15 years or so.  Like many, life's busy schedule got in the way and ham radio, mainly hf, took a back seat,  I re-discovered the hobby during the summer of 2016 and I have been very active on HF, and Wires-X since.

Previous calls VE3JGR, VE1JGR,
VE3DRE (still valid and now used on my Wires-X node).

My station,

HF rigs are a Kenwood TS-590SG and Yaesu FT990 Ameritron AL-80A that I run at 600 watts into a double bazooka for 80 and 40 meters at 25 feet or 7.5 metres of the ground, I use an end fed sloper for all other bands.  Active on HF SSB, CW.

Yaesu C4FM Wires-X node host is a Yaesu FTM-100DR with a HRI-200 interface. The antenna is a Diamond X50 at 35 feet the node range is 30 to 50 km.  I use a Yaesu FTM-3200 as a client for the node and for regular VHF work.

I've started producing videos on all kinds of ham stuff please take a look at my YouTube channel
