I received my novice license in June 1979 (Vk3vev) at the age of 15. My first rig was a TS520s my Dad (now Vk3bmo) already had in the shack. When I upgraded to unrestricted license I received Vk3idx February 1992. I moved from Melbourne Victoria (Vk3) to north Queensland (Vk4)1996 and became Vk4idx then Vk4ju

I now work in the tourism industry as a coach Driver and work on reef tour Boats.

My Homebrew 2 Element Swiss Quads

Above's Homebrew Swiss Quads for 10m,6m and 12m,15m,17m,20m

The Swiss Quad (Designed by HB9CV) is an all driven array.

It differs from the conventional quad electrically in that both elements are driven - with a phase difference of 180 degrees.

The horizontal elements are aluminium tubing and the vertical

elements are wire. I fed the loops by means of a T-match

(double gamma match) system.
