I began studing for my amateur radio license in 2013, but did not have time to continue due do working, high school and other activites. I recently picked up the ARRL handbook for technician in early January and got very into it. I managed to go through the book and get ready for the test within just a few days! I tested and the end of January, and recieved my callsign early February. I then picked up the general ARRL handbook and managed to test for that mid February. Then I just recently tested for Extra on 4/16 at the local hamfest! I am also currently going to college for Computer Information Techology, and I hope to graduate December 2017.

You may hear me operating as W0NY/P at some points, ill be using a KX3 with some wire dipoles and or buddipole.

As of right now, the equipment I am running is as follows.

Base: Yaesu FT-2800M with a Diamond F22A antenna at around 24ft for local 2m operation, Yaesu 450D with an LDG Z11 Pro antenna tuner which is connected to a G5RV, and access to the local club remote base TS-480sat for HF. If you are in the area, i'm usually monitoring our club (W0UJ)'s main repeater, 147.225+ with no pl tone.

Mobile: Yaesu FTM-400DR with a Comet SBB-5 NMO antenna.

Portable: Elecraft KX3, Icom ID-51a Plus anniversary edition in white, Yaesu FT-50r with a Comet SMA-24 antenna, Tytera MD-380 and BaoFeng UV-5R with the Nagoya NA-701.

If you hear me on D-Star or DMR I am usually using my hotspot consisting of a raspberry pi 2 and DVmega with the latest firmware flashed onto it.

I try to upload LOTW daily, but sometimes I don't get to it right away. eQSL I will upload my log at least once a week. If you wish to QSL direct, just send me a card and you will get one in return 100%. I love getting cards in the mail! SASE is not required, but appreciated.

2016 NPOTA event, activated LK01.

Achived LOTW WAS on 40m JT65 on 05-21-16!

I am also a Remotehamradio youth participant. So you may hear me on there from time to time!

I look forward to hearing you on the air!
