First licensed in 1980 as N0CIB, N0XB in 1997, and finally W0PR in April of 2007, I have been active almost daily since then. DXCC RTTY, CW, SSB and Mixed. Honor Roll and Number 1 awards. Still working on 5BWAZ...pretty tough from the black hole of Minnesota! I am a long-time member of the Twin Cities DX Association. We welcome all comers who have an interest in DX in all its facets. Click on the link at the bottom of my bio for more information on this great organization.
I am a very active CW, SSB, and RTTY op and I participate in most contests, sometimes full time, most times not.
My station features the fabulous Ten Tec Orion II and the terrific Ten Tec Omni VII. Seriously excellent radios, and the best bang for your buck today, IHMO! Amps include an Alpha 99B and a Collins 30L-1. Digital modes/CW Keying/Voice keying all handled by an always faithful microHAM microKEYER R2+. Paddles are a Bencher Mercury, and a custom made March R-3a. I use a Heil PR-781 mic mounted on a Heil topless boom. I use a Heil Pro Quiet Set for contesting.
Antennas are stacked 3el HyGain 40m beam, TH11, 5el Cushcraft 6m beam and 12el 2m Boomer. Wires and beverages for low bands.
I also enjoy the use of a Collins KWM-2 with a 30L-1 linear.
