I am active on mainly 75M, 2M and 440. You most likely will hear me on Skywarn and NTS nets in the NW Ohio area, as well as on Ohio and Michigan Section NTS nets. I have recently been appointed and Assistant Emergency Coordinator for Ottawa County. I operate both SSB and CW and, truth be told, CW is by far my favorite mode, but I have found JT65 to be a quite interesting mode.

Give me a shout on the WB8JLT repeater in Oak Harbor, OH if you're ever in the area, as I monitor 24/7.

My home station is an Kenwood TM-281 and an Icom IC- 725 powered by a MFJ p/s, and a Diamond X300A for VHF/UHF at 35 feet above the ground and a G5RV at about 30 feet, set up in a NIVS configuration. For my mobile setup I run a Yaesu FT 8900.

I do have a 33cm repeater set up at approx. 40 ft. I know its not the highest in the land, but it does cover the Camp Perry area of Ohio quite well. Its output is  927.975 with the input being 25 Mhz below that. It does require a 100.0 hz pl to open. Due to the loss of a tower, my machine is currently off the air and looking for a new roost.

I also have a Go-kit set up with an Icom ID-880H and Yaesu FT-450D powered by a Samlex 23A powers supply. The go-kit has provisions to operate on commercial or battery power. It also has provisions to power three other things with no more than 15A draw from all three outlets combined. For the ID-880H antenna I use a copper cactus J-Pole mounted on a camera tripod.  I am still working on a sutiable antenna for the HF bands, but I am leaning towards toting along a full size G5RV antenna.

For any contacts that I make on HF, I upload to Club Log soon after each QSO and eQSL and LoTW daily. Card are always accepted and there is no need for SASE.  For DX cards, I do prefer they go to the ARRL QSL Bureau. See below for my Club Log.
