I have been enjoying amateur radio since 1972.

I especially enjoy the challenge of operating on 160, 80 and 40 meters. I also enjoy some contesting. You will find me on 75 meters most mornings at 3796 at 1200Z looking for DX. I am currently working on the CQ DX Marathon.

My previous calls: AD9Y, WB9IYO, WN9IYO.

Ham Radio is a great hobby. We have to protect it from our own apathy. The best part of Ham Radio is that it continues to be passed on by caring individuals we affectionately call ELMERS. Pass it on. Help someone become a HAM

2014 has been in busy year. My friends and I finished digging and raising my new High Gain 54HD tower. My ham friends

who made this possible were K9NU Paul, W9ILY John, N9TK Jim and W9YYG Moose(Silent Key).

My Grandson Ian helped dig the hole.

I welded up the lifting device for the tower. It worked great even with one of the antennas on it. Lifting device before we brought the tower around to be lifted into place.
