My son and I (I am on the right) at the base of Nebraska's tallest waterfall (Smith Falls) in north central Nebraska. I was first licensed in 1976, used a National NC-109 and a Heathkit DX-60B, upgraded to a Drake TR-3.

My current station is made up of the following equipment:

  • Icom 746pro
  • Ameritron AL-80B
  • Nye Viking MB-V-A
  • Butternut Phased Verticals
  • Tennadyne T8 LPDA on 10-20 meters
  • Hy-gain 4-element on 6-meters
  • Cushcraft Rotatable Dipole on 40-meters
  • Hy-gain 14-element on 2-meters
  • Inverted Vee on 80-meters
  • US Tower HDX-555

I also enjoy taking vacations to participate in the ARRL DX-SSB and ARRL June-VHF Contests from Colorado.
